DECORUM IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS - Dog. Bitch. Is this the language you'd expect to hear in Parliament, or in a kennel? Sadly, the House of Commons has been a model of disorderly conduct lately - not just for the name-calling, but also for the excessive partisanship, the lack of credible debate and the my-way-or-the-highway approach to politics.

Average Canadians look at this and wonder what must be in the water cooler outside the Commons. Why can't MPs just be serious about why they're there, instead of turning the business of Canada into a team sport with locker-room overtones?

Good questions. Garth might want to ask them to himself after his latest post, from March 10, 2007:

[Stephen] Harper is a political whore.

Of course, we all know who the real political whore is.
